Learning Agreement Vilnius University
If you are not studying in the European Union, you need a valid D visa or temporary residence permit to study in Lithuania, and this document allows students to travel to Schengen countries for 3 months over a period of 6 months, but not to give the right to studies. After receiving the notice of approval (it may be an e-mail version), you must ask your host university coordinator for the visa procedure in your destination country. CAREFUL! All students at Vilnius University can participate in the Erasmus+ programme, but the university`s policy is not to select students for study abroad during the last semester of the final year. The main reason is the tight timetable for the completion of Erasmus+ studies before defending your final thesis. In most cases, there is no way to get transscripts of records from the host university until the end of the semester at Vilnius University. Note for exchange students: The online application form must be completed after being selected by your home university for exchange studies at Vilnius University. The letter of appointment, i.e. confirmation of your selection, must be sent by your home university coordinator to the International Office of Vilnius University by e-mail () before applying or being attached to the online application. Students can choose up to two partner universities and list them in order of priority. If the student is chosen to go to the first website on the application form, a placement in another university is not taken into account. Students can choose 2 universities in the application form, but they must write a cover letter for the selection committee. If the student is not selected, the application commissioner may propose a third option. The results of the selection are communicated by e-mail 10 working days after the deadline indicated.
